Lieber Papa,
24 months have passed this day, since you went to sleep in the Lord. It feels much, much longer than that and you are missed every waking day. Yet I know you are with us in the spirit, watching over us. I know you see your grandchildren growing up and our lives progressing - the thought gives me strength and comfort when things get rough. You remain an inspiration for me and many others too.
Papa, that we miss you cannot be anything but an understatement. We learn to live with it, but can never forget. We have chosen this candle to shine for you today...know that you shine in our hearts and minds always.
Stay blessed and sleep well, until we meet again.
