2 Timothy, Chapter 4 : 6 - 8
For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Papa,
It is difficult for me to believe I am writing these words, yet it is reality. You have gone to be at rest in the Lord, gone to be in a better place. Nothing will replace the emptiness you leave, you represented so much for so many people. As the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: you have fought the good fight and finished the race. You have kept the faith. It is clear that while we mourn your departure, we are comforted in the knowledge that you are with God. I know that it is your wish for us to keep looking forward, to live our lives fully as you did yours, to never give up, to reach for the stars. You are a great example to so many people, whose lives you touched. Thank you for all you did for us as a family, all the sacrifices you made, all your teaching and guidance, all your strength and all your love. We will miss you dearly; I know you will watch over us until we meet to part no more. Rest in perfect Peace, Papa. In Jesus name, Amen.
Es ist schwer zu glauben, dass ich diese Worte schreibe, doch ist es Realität. Du hast uns verlassen, um beim Allmächtigen zu ruhen und bist nun an einen besseren Ort. Nichts wird die Leere ersetzen, die du hinterlässt. Du hast so viel, für so Viele, dargestellt. Wie der Apostle Paulus schrieb: Ich habe einen guten Kampf gekämpft, ich habe den Lauf vollendet, ich habe Glauben gehalten. Wir trauern um dich, doch sind wir im Gedanken, dass dein Leid ein Ende hat, getröstet. Ich weiss, deine Erwartung ist, dass wir Hinterbliebenen stehts den Blick nach vorne richten, dass wir unser Leben so wie du voll Leben, dass wir niemals aufgeben, dass wir nach den Sternen greifen! Du bleibst ein Beispiel für so viele Menschen, deren Leben du berührt hast. Danke für alles was du für uns als Familie geleistet hast, all' deine Weisheit, dein Rat, deine Kraft und deine Liebe. Wir werden dich schrecklich vermissen, dennoch weiss ich, dass du über uns wachen wirst, bis wir uns wiedersehen. Ruhe in Christus' Frieden, Papa. Amen.
